I had an albino cockatiel named Sunny. She rocked. She sang, whistled and even broke her foot and lived a bad ass life.

My friend posted an article about a pink dolphin (an albino dolphin) and I got to thinking. Albino animals are exotic, rare and admired.

FACT:
Albinism (from Latin albus, "white"; see ) is a form of hypopigmentary congenital disorder, characterized by a partial (in hypomelanism, also known as hypomelanosis) or total (amelanism or amelanosis) lack of melanin pigment in the eyes, skin and hair (or more rarely the eyes alone)
FACT:
Albino people look crazy and are not appreciated. That's really all I can say for albino people...It's pretty sad and it's a true double standard. You could have it worse?
